hallow’s eve

last weekend was all kinds of ridiculous. i somehow managed to make it to a wedding and a halloween party in one night. the night starts to get fuzzy around the time i left the wedding… but i do remember this:

-being so happy to see courtney
-hungarian dancers
-belly dancers
-the mother and father of the bride putting twenties in the belly dancer’s bra
-amazing food
-open bar
-free wine
-sarah palin look alike
-corn cob pipe fun
-the bride cutting some mean rug in huge heels
-everyone being wonderfully nice even though i knew one person there
-waiting for the bus that never came
-courtney shoving me in a cab so i didn’t miss the party
-soco
-somewhat talking to cody
-being stoked to see jesse
-being so impressed with drew and jordan’s costumes
-losing my soco
-talking to mario
-wondering where poulton went
-leaning on byron alot
-leaning on franz alot
-leaning on the wall alot
-julia giving me underwear to wear while i crashed because i was going commando

tonight is leap’s party.
lord knows what will happen tonight!

he’s just a ragged clown behind…

Harrison and I saw Bob Dylan last night.
What a weird thing to say. I still can’t really believe that I saw him; he who did so much that effected music, culture, love, war, revolution, fans, poets, artists…
I wasn’t expecting it to be a night of his greatest hits. The man made his career off doing whatever he wanted, and people loved him for it. At 67, that hasn’t changed. The hits he did play, he changed quite alot. His voice has definitely taken a beating as well, and once you mix the poor sound quality of GM place made it quite hard to even understand him. But still, I loved it.

so i have to do a podcast for my web class. poulton and i have plans to get crunk and put one together. should be interesting, since she’ll just be finishing soccer practice and be all kinds of sweaty. who knows, maybe it could be an ongoing thing? well… ongoing… after i’m done my web class.

my very good friend Chrisitian showed me some youtube videos of this girl, Julia Nunes, totally shredding gnar on ukulele. she has a bunch of original songs, and actually went on tour with Ben Folds [badass]. im a bigger fan of her covers though.
